14 August Kathmandu. On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan, a simple and

graceful flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan today. Charge
d`Affaires, Mr. Adnan Javed Khan hoisted the flag. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
only Embassy Officers & Officials attended the ceremony.
Messages of President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister of Pakistan were
read out.

Addressing the flag hoisting ceremony Charge d`Affaires Mr. Adnan Javed
Khan recalled the history of Pakistan movement under the leadership of Quaid-i-
Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Referring to the Jammu Kashmir dispute, the Charge
d`Affaires said that resolution of this long outstanding dispute in accordance to the
wishes of the people and the UN resolutions would complete the agenda of the
partition.

In the evening, the Embassy in collaboration with Nepal-Pakistan Friendship
and Cultural Association (NPFCA) organized a simple reception to celebrate 75th
Independence Day of Pakistan at Aloft Hotel, Kathmandu.
Rt. Honorable Vice President of Nepal Mr. Nanda Bahadur Pun Vice
The President of Nepal graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking at the occasion, Rt. Honorable Vice President recollected the
deepness of Nepal-Pakistan friendly relations and praised the support of Pakistan in
Nepal’s development endeavors.
